Davy Murry

Born: January 29, 1957
Birthplace: New Orleans, Louisiana
Residence: Atlanta, Georgia, USA

David has driven at Le Mans twice. Last year, he co-drove with Johnny Mowlem and Sascha Maassen at Le Mans finishing 2nd in GT driving a Porsche GT3-R. In 1998, he co-drove with James Weaver in a factory supported Porsche LMP-1 98 entry, which ran as high as fourth overall early in the race that year.

This season, Murry's main effort has been in a Porsche 911 GT3-R piloting a Kelly-Moss Racing entry in both the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and the Grand American Series. Murry began racing in the early 1980's in formula cars and small-bore sports cars and steadily graduated into faster machinery up to and including IMSA GTP cars and a ride at Watkins Glen in NASCAR's top league in 1999. David has won three championships in his career: the 1995 SCCA World Challenge, the 1994 IMSA Grand Sports Firestone Firehawk Series and the 1985 SCCA Professional Sports Renault Championship.
