Although he is spending the 2001 season driving primarily for Alex Job Racing, Maassen is happy to return to the Barbour "family" for Le Mans and Petit Le Mans. His prototype experience includes the Daytona 24 Hour race as well as twice at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year he is a top contender in the Porsche Super Cup Series. Last year his GT record included ALMS wins at Charlotte, Silverstone, Portland, Petit Le Mans and Las Vegas. Sascha's career highlights include victories in the FIA GT Championship Series (1998), the British F3000 Championship (1996), the Macau GP for F3 (1994). His experience was mostly in single-seaters until 1997 when he moved into the Super Touring Car Championship in 1997.
