LAS VEGAS POLE FOR DICK BARBOUR RACING

Road Atlanta, GA October 28, 2000 - The Dick Barbour Racing Team has secured the pole position for eleventh, and last, North American event of the 2000
American Le Mans Series Championship - The Grand Prix of Las Vegas.

In Qualifying Session #2, the Lucas Luhr controlled number 5 Porsche 911 GT3 R scored the pole position and broke the qualifying record with a time of 1:17.838.

Also in the second session, the number 51 Porsche 911 GT3 R qualified for the third spot with a time of 1:18.21 - delivered by Sascha Maassen.

This is the Team's eighth pole of the 2000 season and the sixth time that they have broken the tracks' qualifying records.

The Grand Prix of Las Vegas will be televised live on Sunday, October 29 on Speedvision - beginning at 3:00PM EST. Live coverage is also available on The American Le Mans Radio Web at www.americanlemans.com.
