DICK BARBOUR RACING TO COMPETE AT THE NURBURGRING

Road Atlanta, Georgia July 1, 2000 - Dick Barbour Racing will enter two Porsche 911 GT3 R's in the European Le Mans Series race at the Nurburgring 1000 km AvD in Germany on July 9th. The Dick Barbour Racing Porsche 911 GT3R's - the number 51, will be piloted by Bob Wollek and Sascha Maassen - the number 5 will be driven by Dirk Muller and Lucas Luhr.

The Nurburgring 1000 km will be the fourth race of the 2000 American Le Mans Series, and the second race of the European Le Mans Series. The team has been fortunate to win the first three races - the 12 Hours of Sebring, The Grand Prix of Charlotte and The Silverstone USA 500 Challenge - and hopes to continue its success in Germany.

"I was fortunate to win at Nurburgring in 1980 in a Porsche 935 with John Fitzpatrick, says Dick Barbour. I'm very excited to return - it is an excellent track and the fans are truly amazing. I very much hope that we will be on the podium at the end of the day and would very much like to deliver the win to Porsche - in their home country. The team has prepared very hard for this event, our drivers are the best - we will compete to the best of our abilities - and we're hopeful that we will get the checkered flag," he added.

Dick Barbour Racing currently leads the series in team points with Sascha Maassen and Bob Wollek tied for first in the drivers standings, with Dirk Muller in third and Lucas Luhr in fourth.
