DICK BARBOUR RACING DOMINATES QUALIFYING AGAIN
For the fourth time in as many races in 2000, Dick Barbour racing Porsche GT3Rs set the pace in qualifying for an American Le Mans Series contest. Sascha Maassen and Bob Wollek will start from the pole of the GT class for the Bitburger/AvD 1000 KM race at the Nurburgring. Maassen, an instructor at the 2.83 mile Grand Prix Circuit set the fastest time - beating out his teammate Dirk Muller in the second Barbour GT3R. This is the second and final round of the European Le Mans Series which counts for points in the American Le Mans Series.
Dick Barbour Racing currently leads the series in team points with Sascha Maassen and Bob Wollek tied for first in the drivers standings, with Dirk Muller in third and Lucas Luhr in fourth.
