DICK BARBOUR RACING SET FOR THE PETIT LE MANS

Road Atlanta, GA September 25, 2000 - The Dick Barbour Racing Team is set to contend the ninth round of the American Le Mans Series Championship – the Petit Le Mans - at Road Atlanta on September 30th.

The Petit Le Mans has earned its reputation as one of the country's premier endurance races. The race will begin at 12:30PM EST and will run for 10 hours or 1000 miles - whichever occurs first.

Road Atlanta is homeport for Dick Barbour Racing. Just outside of Turn One is the team's new state-of-the-art racing facility equipped with the newest and most technologically advanced racing equipment available.

The team will once again field three cars. Dirk Muller and Lucas Luhr will drive the number 5 Porsche 911 GT3 R. Teammates Bob Wollek and Sascha Maassen will share driving stints in the number 51 and in the number 15 will be Paul Newman, Randy Wars and Mike Brockman.

The Team has earned victories in six of the eight ALMS events held so far. The Team is first in Team Points and drivers Dirk Muller, Lucas Luhr, Sascha Maassen and Bob Wollek are first, second, third and fourth in Driver's Points.

The Petit Le Mans will be televised live on Speedvision beginning at 12:30PM EST on September 30th. A live radio broadcast of the race can also be heard on American Le Mans Series Radio Web at www.petitlemans.com.
