DICK BARBOUR RACING SCORES SEVENTH WIN

Road Atlanta, GA September 30, 2000 - The Dick Barbour Racing Team has won the ninth round of the American Le Mans Series Championship - the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. The Team has now earned seven wins in the nine ALMS races held to date.

Winning the Petit Le Mans is especially sweet for Dick Barbour Racing as it is the home track for the Team, a very prestigious and highly competitive endurance event and represents a twenty-year race winning reunion at Road Atlanta for Barbour - who won here 20 years ago in a Porsche 935 Twin Turbo.

The number 51 Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Bob Wollek and Sascha Maassen, crossed the finish line first. Of the Team's seven wins, Maassen and Wollek have delivered four - Charlotte, Silverstone, Portland and today's Petit Le Mans. The win places Maassen first in Driver's Points for the series and Wollek in second.

Dirk Muller and Lucas Luhr's number 5 Porsche 911 GT3 R held the lead for most of the race, relinquishing it after gearbox trouble - and then only to their teammates Maassen and Wollek. Muller and Luhr have delivered three of the Team's seven wins - Sebring, Nurburgring and Sears Point. Muller and Luhr are third and fourth in Driver's Points.

The Team's third entry, the number 15 Porsche 911 GT3 R, piloted by Paul Newman, Randy Wars and Mike Brockman was punted off the track sending Newman into the wall at turn 5. Newman was unhurt but the car was unable to continue.

This win put the Team clearly ahead in Team Points for the series and also clinches the 2000 ALMS GT Manufacturers Championship for Porsche.
